I made my first pumpkin pie this weekend, and I was very relieved when it turned out quite tasty.
This is the Deluxe Butter Crust from The Joy of Cooking (a.k.a., the only pie crust worth making), the Pumpkin Pie from The America's Test Kitchen Family Baking Book (yummy!), and whipped cream (half a cup of heavy cream, a teaspoon and a half of sugar, and a half teaspoon of vanilla, whipped up and delicious).
We also put up the Christmas decorations Sunday night. And when we woke up Monday morning there was snow on the ground. So now it actually feels like I should be doing Christmasy things! Yay!
