Here's my submission for the latest Tie One On theme, Black and White.
This one was really easy and fun to sew up. I quite liked making the pleats, with all the straight, mindless stitching. Rather relaxing. And even sewing on the bias tape edging, which I usually have very poor luck with, went very smoothly. And I remembered to make the ties nice and long so they wrap around to tie in the front, which I much prefer but sometimes forget to account for. A very pleasant experience, this apron.

I love it! Those pleats are so eye-catching and fancy, and the extra-long ties are perfect.
The tuxedo look really classes up a kitchen. I LIKE IT!
I. LOVE. THIS. I need it! I don't have time to sew it myself so instead I'll look at yours longingly. Sigh! Nice work!
Thanks for the apron love, everyone! So glad you like it!
So crisp, so party perfect pretty! And the pictures look fantastic. I am loving your apron.
Thank you! I was thinking it would be perfect for I cocktail party. Not that I ever host any! But now if the occasion comes up, I'll be all set. :)
Did you design the pattern? It is a really nice one.
Well, "designing the pattern" makes it sound a little bit better planned than it was, but yes! I just sort of made it up as I went along.
Sarah it is absolutely fantastic, you should seriously consider making a paper pattern out of it.
That is the best apron I've seen in a LONG time! I love your idea, and the execution is outstanding. Well done!
Thanks so much!
love your tie one on apron--very classy!
That's so cute. I've never thought of tying an apron in the front but is looks so good. I'm going to have to try :)
