Fall

I love fall. Or, rather, I love my idealized version of what fall will be each year. It will be chilly but not too cold. There will be lots of beautiful crispy-crunchy leaves. There will be lots of soup and baking and sewing. It will be lovely.

In reality, fall has been mostly too cold and too busy, there is never enough time for all the projects I have in mind, and the leaves have been an annoying, soggy mess.

But there have been some gorgeous days, sunny and cool. And there has been some soup (though not enough...can there ever be enough?) and some baking (there can definitely never be enough). There has even been a little bit of sewing (which I'll show you soon). Add to that a trip to the country for pumpkins and apples, an outdoors-loving little one who is crazy about the fall leaves (including trying to eat them), and as much laughing, smiling, tickling, fun and cuddling as this family of three (three! it never gets old!) can fit in. It has been lovely.
